“Localak!” at The Social Hub San Sebastián

I’m excited to share that I’ll be taking part in “Localak!”, the first exhibition organized by the gallery Arte UpArte at the hall and exhibition space of Riberas de Loiola, in collaboration with The Social Hub San Sebastián.
The show brings together the unique visual worlds of six local artists: Rebeka Elizegi, Malen Pazos, Maider Sorasu, Iker Ayestaran, Iban Illarramendi, and myself, Iker García Barrenetxea. It’s a celebration of local creativity, offering a space for diverse and personal artistic perspectives.
For this exhibition, I’m presenting four new drawings under the title “Human Interaction 2.0”—a slightly ironic take on our current times. These works depict young people without mobile phones in their hands—a scene that’s becoming increasingly rare today.
