A visceral exploration of being drawn into an inner vortex,

where the central figure, caught between representation and abstraction, is consumed by the swirling force of emotion and thought.

Eyes wide, the figure embodies a state of surrender,

as if entering a dream, a nightmare, or a moment that absorbs all attention and energy.

One of nine paintings created in collaboration with composer Miguel Marín (a.k.a. Árbol) in London, 2005, part of the series Inside Out – Lines as a Device to Exteriorize the Rhythm Guided by Emotions, a dialogue between nine paintings and nine musical pieces — two different yet complementary artistic languages.
