"The eyes of the eagle represent the gaze that opens to the world of dreams when we close our eyes when we sleep, connecting with imagination, mystery and the impossible.
In The Empire of Light, René Magrite's wonderful series of paintings, day and night blend harmoniously, resulting in an effect of unsettling duality between wakefulness and sleep. In my work Dream Lights, day and night occur at the same time, intertwining like a puzzle.
Skies with corners, shaped by geometries, with windows to another time, to another light.
I painted the full moon, thinking of its hypnotic and evocative capacity, of its round shape, attentive to nothingness, to the infinite.
Above the night, a chair to sit and contemplate another reality, another perspective, another dream within the dream."
